VISITING LEBEAU-COURALLY

13.6.17

A few weeks ago I went on a trip to Dijon to visit the Lebeau-Courally headquarters and factory. It was quite a short getaway of 48 hours but surely one I won't forget soon. I was honestly very looking forward to discovering the story behind Lebeau-Courally and witness the process of a bag being born at first hand.

Lebeau-Courally is 100% Belgian and their history began almost 150 years ago with the production of hunting weapons. Nowadays they are known for their outstanding leather goods and luxurious watches. Everything about Lebeau-Courally breathes timeless luxury and elegance. The tour in their factory - where they have been designing and manufacturing handmade leather goods for world famous brands for more than a century now - impressed with how every tiniest part is handcrafted with intricate attention to detail, showcasing the best crafts and most high-end materials. All bags grow out to be unique pieces made from the finest skins - they even work with exclusive ones such as lizard, ostrich, python, alligator and crocodile - with edges coated by hand.

Scroll down to cast a glance behind the scenes and see how at Lebeau-Courally they cut the pieces, mark the brand, dye the edges of the leather, stitch across the pieces, clean and check every detail coming out of the production and put it in a protective cover at the very end.

I myself was lucky enough to take the 'Beau Soleil' home with me. A stunning everyday bag that will both work on the beach and in the city. Definitely my newest fave statement summer accessory.
