SAME OFFICE, DIFFERENT VIEW

As I've mentioned before, plain white walls make me nervous. Whereas the minimalistic trend is still going strong for so many of us, I have been embracing this colorful eclectic style since forever. Methodical mismatching and mixing unexpected colors together is my middle name. As our office space is by far the one where I spend most of my time in, I can't help but overthinking what could still be missing or what elements to switch several times a day.
As my last post showcasing our office space dates from already a few months ago, I thought it was about time to share an update with you. In only a few weeks things can look quite different over here... Can you spot the latest adjustments? The first thing you'll probably notice is how we've welcomed a new gorgeous rug by Louis de Poortere via Online Tapijten. For some reason our previous rug didn't do much for the space and the color did not enhance the palette of our office at all. The new one emphasizes the gold brass details of my desk so much more and still it adds to the vintage feel of our decor surprisingly well.
The second biggest change are the walls next to the window that have been decorated with wallpaper. There may be a big palm leaf wallpaper trend going on and I am always applauding adding lots of greenery to your home, but still I wanted something more elegant and timeless suiting the rest of our home. My online hunt was on until I bumped into this gold toned Itaya wallpaper from the ARTE Monsoon collection. The perfect dash of Hollywood glam!
