Working from home involves quite some staring at your interior, wondering what to add, what to replace and what extra treasures to hunt for. These last few weeks I could no longer ignore we were in desperate need of a dose of color on our walls. I'm having an endless love affair with everything eclectic and colorful and am the firmest believer in the power of adding the right color to your home. But since we had a brand new house built we were told to wait three to six months before painting it to give it time to breath. Luckily the wait is officially over now.

Colors can not only change the size of a room, they also have a psychological value and can create a certain atmosphere which will benefit your mood when done right. As a freelancer I often find myself taking on too much work and so I wanted to pick a calming color scheme to keep stress levels as low as possible. Greens are known for its stress-reducing effect, slowing down your heart beat and even lowering your blood pressure. And so I decided to freshen up the place with Farrow&Ball Ball Green which brilliantly picks up the dark tone of our bookcase in Smoke Green. So so very happy with the result and I've honestly already noticed what it does to my senses.
