WINTER STAPLES. TOP TEN

3.12.15

inspiration, winter staples,

Get your wardrobes ready cause winter is definitely here to stay for a couple of months. I've gathered my ten key pieces for a fashionable and winter proof closet.

Chunky turtleneck

And I'm kicking off with my current favorite. The chunky turtleneck sweater is my number one piece to grab for lately. Cozy and warm and yet so fresh. I like mine in a relaxed fit and layered over white shirts.

Leather pants

Leather pants are probably my ultimate go-to piece whenever I have to deal with lack of inspiration. A good pair looks amazing worn with just about anything; heels, sneakers, knitwear, white shirts, blazers and denim jackets,... you name it, you can team it.

Wool-blend coat

A beautiful wool-blend coat offers endless possibilities. It not only looks sophisticated paired with your most sophisticated dress but even goes perfect with those shredded jeans. Go ahead and try it out yourself. I'm sure you can style yours with just about anything in your wardrobe.

Cashmere scarf

One I think every woman - and man - should invest in, a beautiful cashmere scarf. It adds so much to your outfit and when you take good care of it you'll enjoy it for years and years. If you haven't done the splurge yet I'd suggest putting the cashmere scarf on top of your Christmas wish list.

Leather perfecto

I've lost count on how many times I've actually been wearing the leather perfecto over here. It adds edge to all your daytime and evening looks. And it is the perfect trans-season piece.

Loafers

My favorite daytime style. Work your loafers with everything from dresses and leather skirts to denim and wool trousers. The loafer is far more edgier than the ballerina flat and offers just as much comfort.

Chunky cardigan

A must-have for those super chilly days when in need of an extra layer. I like to wear mine as a coat or throw it on over my outfit when I come home after a long day.

Mid-length dress

This season you simply can't live without a mid-length pencil skirt. I'd suggest spending your money on a mid-lenght dress as it looks so fresh to style your chunky wool sweater over it.

Grey wool pants

So versatile and ever classy, the grey wool pants. Dress them up with heels or choose casual cool with sneakers.

Overknee boots

Another FW1516 trend impossible to ignore. The tall boot never looked so stylish. Wear them day to night, with tucked-in suede pants and breezy dresses.
