Defining your own personal style is finding out which clothes and accessories speak to you best. I also think it has much to do with a wardrobe that consists of a few signature pieces. In my case white shirts, flats and leather perfecto jackets have always been part of my signature staple. It are the pieces I feel most comfortable and - far more important - most confident in. And therefor I am for more tempted to make an investment when I bump into an expensive but strong version. I could honestly fill all my hangers with slightly different white shirts and leather perfecto jackets. I am always convinced I will be enjoying their company for decades.
This royal blue one for example. It has been one of my very favorites for eight (!) years now and I am still relying on it every few weeks. I don't know if it's its flattering cut or the chique blue shade that plays to my strength, but I don't think this biker jacket will every grow old...
